Simply Beautiful Animation and Artwork.....

This animation features the artwork of SouthAfrican Artist Ree Treweek which was sent to me by my awesome friend Phil!Thanks Phil for sending this! I can only hope one day to have my artwork animated in such a breath taking way as this video shows! OH and I dig the name of the group who made the cgi animation - The Black Heart Gang! The Rotten Tooth Gang want to be friends for sure!

Mad Tea Party....

I restocked my tea stash that I keep here at work with me This particular tea is so awesome! It combines Rooibos,Honey Bush (two of my top favorites)with Safflowers, Marigold Flowers and Caramel Flavor.... Its soooo yummy and to top it off it comes in these see-thru mesh bags which are just visually pleasing and the smell is so warm and cozy... The flavor of Rooibos really comes through...it always reminds me of the smell of a cherry flavored taboacco pipe... a childhood friend's dad smoked one and I always loved that smell probably one of the only smoke smells I really enjoy ^____^

Well today I dropped off a bunch of paintings to get framed for the May show ... My frame guy I work with is sooo great! He gives me great discounts and on top of that isn't charging me for framing 2 of the paintings I brought in ...I wish more poeople were that giving in their business it would make life so much nicer. I am just happy to have the few in my life that are good souls like that.

After the art drop off I spent the rest of lunch bird watching down by the nature reserve over here which is one of the strangest places since it could be mistaken for wastelands I am sure...but magical things happen back in those parts...With all the Birds and other creatures lurking and swimming about then sometimes if you are lucky you will hear the sound of harmonica playing dancing through the breeze as a man takes his lunch break to walk about the reserve playing his harmonica.... now that is a good day for sure!

Working and Tarding out....

May is creeping up on me like a slug on speed.... fast forward rewind fast fast frantic forward trying to keep my mind straight... I have alot of strings to tie up but some how I gots me a case of the spring fevers which makes my brain go kaputz and I just sit around retarding out doing nonsense stuff dancing around, dressing my cat up and smelling the spring flowers blooming outside... instead I should be framing painting, sculpting, packagaing, primping, promoting but my brain just won't have it right now... so a post to post progress of a drawing that will be in the show which I am happy to say is all framed and ready to go well almost I have to just adjust the hanger on the back of the frame and then it will be good to go. Actually all the paintings and drawings are complete just have to frame them up. I have to finish up my sculptures tho...the hand has been hurting as always from that damn thumb accident from back in '04 so actually breaks are called for unfortunatley...its been getting terrible pins and needles which has been spreading to other parts of my hand :( if it continues I will have to go back to see my hand doctor to see whats up. Funny how the things we value most in life are the things that really are challenged and almost taken away from us. Gotta really fight for the things you want or love in life or else they will go away or will be taken from you. No more bumming out I am gonna look at this picture I took of my very dapper cat Nervil who will not admit it but loves when I dress him up.

YOu think i am just kidding around with that title but sadly I am not...


But today as sore as I am from that fall... I got some great news some press clippings from the minneapolis Juxtapoz art show... out of 70 artists its truly an honor that they chose my work to feature in these publications. I just feel super happy!

Presently I am in my studio working on my solo show which is this May which really is just around the corner!It opens on May 20th a couple of days before my birthday! Time goes by fast get all the things done you want to do because the end is near. I feel like I am in crunch time... I have to pick out frames and get all the loose strings tied up nice and neat. A busy girl indeed I am...I just booked a very exciting show in Berlin for 2007 July at the awesome Strychnin Gallery, which I am exclusive with in Germany now. The floor plan looks really great and just a really pretty space to work within... I am going to make that show super special.... I started a sketchbook for it already. ^___^ And Spring is here which makes me sing with the song birds for all the flowers stood up to greet me with brilliant colors and delicate beauty so strong.




And Lastly here is a silly short film i threw together from this past saturday nights opening at mf gallery in nyc which was so fun and really a great group show..... I am the blonde mess of hair, body painting some roller derby girls leg ^____^.
