Japanese dreams....

My little angry monkey drawing I did for a band from Japan back some time ago. ^___^ I missed seeing any actual monkeys up in the mountains when I was in Japan but I saw plenty of Deer which sort of made up for it.


MMMmmmmm......I have to go back to Japan soon I miss it. But first I think I might take a trip to England and Paris since I have never gone there. I have to research and talk to people I know who have lived/gone there to see what off the beaten path kind of stuff I can find there plus any neat places to stay...etc. etc. Nice to daydream about far off trips and angry monkeys on a SnoweyRainSickle day like today.

I have a lot of paintings done and in progress which will all be going on my new website once I redesign it. I am retarded and just get so excited to share new images I make so this is my fix for that ...plus this is a friends only post so only my list will see this so feel special about seeing this ^__^ cause it's like a secret and stuff. SSSSSHHHHHHH.

Fun with Moving Images....

I took this photo of these funny bunnies which I adore over at the Museum of Moving Images over In Queens,NY. This museum is super fun if anyone can get out to see it go.... there are so many goofy interactive displays that kept me entertained for hours ^__^ a couple highlights are the blue screen and photo projection booth which puts your head on a projection of famous people's bodies... I was a ninja turtle and dorothy. My face was tired after that day from laughing so hard. One of the best kinds of pain there is.

I have some show news for this June! In addition to the show over at Toyroom Gallery I will also be taking part in a group show out in Detroit,MI at Pr1mary Space Gallery :: Opening June 4th more details to come as I get them ^___^ The shows theme is red so far it's being called the Red Show though this name may change.

I was at a rest stop (Rest stops are the puragatory of road trips!) this weekend on the parkway and played a scratch off for kicks and won $25 woo hoo.

Day Dreamer Girl...

After the mess of yesterdays storm and ice I am really ready for sea shore days filled with cotton candy smells dancing with the fishy salt smell of the ocean....I am ready for haunted house rides and ferris wheel spins...photo booth shoots and lemon-aid chills.... I am ready to breath in warm hot air and run with the breeze of the sea whipping my hair about.... I am ready for these days though they are not for me to have yet I still have a couple more storms to get through.

Visual Flash Back... Sketch Splooge Circa 2001

Feels like spring today...which makes me just want to play and do stuff for myself. Last night I was cleaning up my studio in between painting and again went through some of my old sketch books and thought to post some.

So with spring on the mind new stuff to think about like before the end of this year I am going to go through a major site redesign to organize and present my work better. It's always a hard thing moving forward with that kind of change when the site has been so good to me and I adore it ... it's just time to freshen up and reorganize my work and streamline things, so that is one of my new goals of course after all my new paintings are done and ready to go online.^___^

I have been drinking this Vanilla Black Tea like mad its sooo delicious with a spot of milk mmm sooo cozy!

I just wanted to see my kitty, Nervil on my journal page so I am posting another shot of him ^___^ I love that I taught my cat to do tricks... He can wave hello on command and roll over on command and he plays fetch.... what a puppy cat!

So more snow fell last night and is still trickling down here and there. I love the snow... it's beautiful the way it hangs off the trees... especially the slender hinoki evergreens I have in my back yard... The snow creates a calm over the day which I love....But really with it now being March I am so looking forward to warm days of sticking my hands in the dirt and jumping back when I see some slithering worm or buggy... or having a nice conversation with a preying mantis. I got spring chills fevering up my spine. ^___^
